Marie Redmond Tuition Reviews and Testimonials

Marie Redmond Tuition ReviewsAll reviews and testimonials have been sent to us by parents of our pupils and are featured here with their kind permission. We never ask parents to send us testimonials, but we’re always delighted when they do.

To protect their privacy, occasionally parents ask us to remove their child’s name from their comments. In these cases we edit their feedback, for example, replacing their child’s name with ‘he’ or ‘she’.

Rafe enjoyed the Easter course, thank you. Leanne was a very engaging and patient teacher.

Year 5 parent, Little Chalfont (2021)

Emma genuinely loves her time with Anne and I love the approachability and professionalism of your company too.

Year 5 parent, Ashley Green (2021)

She really likes the lessons with Anne and I have started to see her motivation come back. Zaina particularly liked the pointers Anne gave them yesterday on completing the assessment. Please send my thanks to Anne.

Year 5 parent, Ickenham (2021)

I just wanted to say that I thought Jo was amazing. Her positivity was infectious and Daniel’s lesson was inspirational. I am very happy to hear that Anne is so positive about Daniel. She is so encouraging and kind with him. He really feeds off of all this positivity.

Year 5 parent, Ickenham (2021)

Please pass on my thanks to Anne as she is lovely and I am really impressed with the work that you all do!

Year 5 parent, Beaconsfield (2021)

Thank you for the second book club novel which arrived today. We wanted to say how enjoyable and motivating the activities are for Ali!

Year 4 parent, Aylesbury (2021)

We are delighted to inform you that she passed the exam. She achieved a score of 153, which we are very pleased about.  We were extremely pleased with the score achieved in Verbal Reasoning, as it seems as though she managed to get more or less every question correct in the paper. She came out of the test, expressing that it was not as difficult as she thought it may have been. She walked in to the test with a high degree of confidence, with a large part of this being down to you and your staff – we would like to thank you for this, and everything you have done since September 2019.  She has really benefited in being in small/medium classes – She seems to have thrived in the group environment, and the manner in which your classes are run (we were acutely aware that 1-2-1 tuition is not necessarily best for all). The amount of homework she had to do throughout the week was just right, and we felt that there was steady development throughout the year. Of all years, this has probably been one of the strangest doing the 11+. The pandemic brought numerous challenges to us all, and we feel the need to really commend the way in which you adapted to this so quickly and so well. This was a crucial period for so many children preparing for the 11+, and I feel that you could not have done any more in such challenging circumstances. Whilst it was not done by design, having different teachers teach through virtual lessons ended up benefitting her, as she gained more confidence through this experience. She has asked me to pass on to you that all teachers were really nice. So overall, a huge thank you to you and your team for everything you have done in assisting her and all the children in getting through the year, and the exam. We will most definitely be recommending you to others.

Year 6 parent, Amersham (2021)

Marie Redmond Tuition has been brilliant. Our son really enjoyed going to his lessons. The sessions were fun and engaging. During lockdown, the online lessons were well structured and engaging. The teachers have been amazing and really adapted well to the ever changing situation. I would highly recommend Marie Redmond Tuition.

Year 6 parent, Slough (2021)

I just wanted to let you know that Zak passed the Buckinghamshire exam. Thank you so much for your help and support. It was a very tough year with many challenges.

Year 6 parent, Slough (2021)

During this pandemic my child has had a mixture of face to face and remote learning with Marie Redmond Tuition. I was a little worried about the remote learning during lockdown but have to say they have been well organised. The lessons have been structured and engaging. The teachers (Bethany and Anne) know the children well and as a result have mutual respect and the children show maximum effort. Thank you MRT.

Year 5 parent, Ickenham (2021)

Our son successfully passed both his 11 + exams for Berks and Bucks. Our thanks in particular go out to Sinead who made our son’s studies stimulating and challenging. The switch to delivering classes online after the first national lockdown was seamless and allowed studying to continue with no drop in the quality of tuition. We approached Marie Redmond having received a personal recommendation and would happily recommend their service to other parents.

Year 6 parent, Slough (2021)

Huge thanks for supporting us through this demanding journey and helping my son achieve the results he wanted – the fact that he also had fun and enjoyed his group tutoring sessions was also a great bonus.

Year 6 parent, High Wycombe (2020)

2020 has not been an easy year for kids however my daughter is really enjoying her tuition sessions with Sinead since she started in September. I have really noticed her confidence grow as she’s progressing through the course. Thank you Sinead and Marie!

Year 6 parent, Chalfont St Peter (2020)

The tuition really helped our son to develop the skills and knowledge required for the 11plus. The weekly sessions kept him focused and interested for the whole of year 5.

Year 6 parent, Beaconsfield (2020)

Marie Redmond has offered consistently high quality tuition with regular feedback on how my child was doing. We are particularly grateful to Marie and her team of lovely teachers for the calm and seamless transition to Zoom classes during lockdown. Highly recommend.

Year 6 parent, Chalfont St Peter (2020)

My son did a week long course and a mock exam. The course (despite being during lockdown) was very well organised. The whole experience left my son confident going into the exam that he had done more than enough to pass, which he did comfortably.

Year 6 parent, Berkhamsted (2020)

Thank you for all the hard work throughout the year and being so flexible in reorganising the learning in such a manner that the pupils were still able to learn and succeed!

Year 5 parent, Slough (2020)

Thank you to you and your team, the tuition was great and he definitely benefited from it. He scored 135, and we think this was the highest in the school, and was one of only 3 that we know of in his school to pass.

Year 6 parent, Iver (2020)

She made it with a score of 121. We are pleased and relieved that she passed given the situation we were in with restrictions/demotivation. Thank you, Sarah, Sinead, Laura and Anne for all your help with the preparation.

Year 6 parent, High Wycombe (2020)

I just wanted to let you know that she passed both the Slough and Bucks 11+ examinations. Thanks to you and your team for all your support and hard work.

Year 6 parent, Iver Heath (2020)

The tuition has helped her develop in her general skills at school, and hope it will help her achieve well in Year 7, which we have no doubt will have made a significant contribution to her learning in the years ahead. Best wishes and we will be in touch again when my son starts Year 5 in a couple of years! Hope you and all the tuition teachers have a lovely Christmas break after a difficult and stressful year for everyone.

Year 6 parent, Chalfont St Peter (2020)

I am sure you will be pleased to know Priyanka passed her 11+ the 6 week revision course was a great help and Priyanka actually seemed to enjoy her lessons with Anne. I am glad I found you! I would now like to start tuition for my son who is in year 4.

Year 6 parent, High Wycombe (2020)

He achieved 122 in the CEM test – a big thank you to you and your staff for your help in preparing him for it.

Year 6 parent, Iver (2020)

She passed! She scored a 127 and was very happy (and proud) for her results. Thank you for all of your help in preparing!

Year 6 parent, Beaconsfield (2020)

She got a score of 137, so we are all absolutely delighted (she cried bless her). Huge thanks to you and your team for tutoring her through the process. Whilst she is undoubtedly intelligent, she has a patchy record in exams and the tuition built her confidence to the point where it was not an issue. I will be in touch next summer as her sister is currently in year 4, and we would like her to be tutored by you also in preparation for the exam. Thanks again and see you next year.

Year 6 parent, Aylesbury (2020)

Thank you and your team for all the hard work in preparing him for the 11+. He came a long way during his time in tuition, so we’re really appreciative of the work that you did. Two children down and one to go! We will be booking our daughter in over the coming months to reserve her place on one of your courses for her tuition. Thanks again and wishing you a lovely Christmas and fingers crossed a better 2021 for all.

Year 6 parent, Amersham (2020)

He achieved the following in his 11+ Slough – 113 (Pass mark 111) Bucks – 133 (Pass mark 121) We hope he has done well enough to get into a Grammar school!
Many thanks again to you and your team for your support!

Year 6 parent, Slough (2020)

Hi Marie, she passed both 11+ exams.Thank you for all the help.

Year 6 parent, Stoke Poges (2020)

Thank you and Sarah, she passed her exam with marks 132. Once again we are really happy and all thanks to you and Sarah.

Year 6 parent, Northwood (2020)

Dear Marie, I am just wanting to email to say thank you to both you and Sinead for the support you gave to my daughter Elsa during her 4 afternoon sessions with Sinead during the October half term at Beaconsfield. Elsa has said she found the sessions really helpful to pull together her learning from the familiarisation work she had done at home previously. Elsa has also said she really enjoyed the sessions, which is so key to learning! Elsa comfortably passed her 11+ test, and is rightly proud of herself. Thank you again, and all the best for a great 2021!

Year 6 parent, Wendover (2020)

He passed his CEM with marks of 112 and GL with marks of 123! Thank you so much for the tuition, it really helped and prepared him well for his exams.

Year 6 parent, Iver (2020)

He has settled back into year 6 very well and is delighted with his 11plus result – he got 121. Many thanks to you and your team for all your help and support.

Year 6 parent, High Wycombe (2020)

She passed with the score 138 ????

Year 6 parent, Gerrards Cross (2020)

I would like to let you know that my son Ahmed Sanad passed Bucks test with a score of 132 . I hope that he gets a place in Burnham Grammar. Your course helped him during the lockdown after he stopped live classes in Slough, it was very good to have these virtual courses. Thank you very much for your help and support.

Year 6 parent, Slough (2020)

Quick note. He passed with 127 so we are very pleased he did well across the board and will be going to Chesham Grammar School with his elder brother. Phew. Thank you. Please let Sarah know. Cheers.

Year 6 parent, Great Missenden (2020)

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so very much for all the tuition you have provided to this point. Even though she won’t be sitting the 11+ after all, it has been invaluable and I have noticed a huge improvement in her school work, particularly her maths and times tables.

Year 5 parent, Stoke Poges (2020)

He passed with a score of 139. Thank you for everything you have done for him. You are the first person we have told!

Year 6 parent, Gerrards Cross (2020)

I just wanted to say how pleased we have been with your 11 plus tuition. Dhruv scored 132… we are very happy. We look forward to meeting again soon with our youngest who is next in line for the exam!

Year 6 parent, Gerrards Cross (2020)

We are pleased to say that he passed with an excellent score of 139. We feel he is certainly suited to a Grammar school environment and his success is a testament to both his hard work for the past 2 years and also the well-planned, thorough teaching he has received from you and your team. We plan to have our younger son join in 2021. Thank you very much for all your kind help since 2018 and we wish you restful rest of 2020 and a successful 2021!

Year 6 parent, Chartridge (2020)

Just wanted to let you know that Oli passed and he is very pleased with the result. Thanks for all your help and support.

Year 6 parent, Beaconsfield (2020)

A big thank you to you and Gabi’s teachers! We got the results back from bucks 11+, and Gabi did fantastic in the test, passing comfortably. I believe she scored 135 overall after normalisation, in the individual test she did fantastic as well- for maths she got 148! Just incredible. The pass mark was 121. So she was overjoyed and proud of herself. Thank you so much for your hard work and I have already passed your contact to other parents.

Year 6 parent, Little Chalfont (2020)

Here are her results: 143. We are chuffed to bits and she could not have achieved this without your guidance and training from all the teachers she has had especially Sarah – whose firm but fair hand (much needed for Anya!) set this girl on the right path. Thank you so much.

Year 6 parent, High Wycombe (2020)

We found out today that he passed the 11+ in both Slough and Buckinghamshire, with great scores. I just wanted to say a big thank you to yourself, Sinead and Sarah for continuing to teach to a high standard during what must have been one of the most challenging years of your career. It wasn’t easy at times, but it was worth it! Please pass on our thanks to Sinead and Sarah too. We are over the moon!

Year 6 parent, Cookham (2020)

I thought you would like to know Noah’s scores for your records. He got 142 overall. Thanks for all your help. I hope your other students are pleased with their results too.

Year 6 parent, High Wycombe (2020)

I want to say that I am glad Alexander has done the tutoring. I have seen his overall school work improve over the year – his Maths is now really quite strong and he has much better mental agility and verbal awareness. I also think it has been a good ‘life lesson’ for him to have committed to the work and to have seen what is required of him moving forwards. So a big thanks to you and Sarah for all your support over the year.

Year 6 parent, Great Missenden (2020)

I am sure you will be pleased to know Priyanka passed her 11+ the 6 week revision course was a great help and Priyanka actually seemed to enjoy her lessons with Anne. I am glad I found you! I would now like to start tuition for my son who is in year 4.

Year 6 parent, Great Missenden (2020)

I am writing with regards to the excellent online sessions your tutors are conducting. After sitting in some of Aleena’s sessions, I would like to offer some of my thoughts. I think the quality of teaching and communication is outstanding and I often feel, I would have loved to been taught in that manner when I was younger!

Year 4 parent, Ickenham (2020)

A quick e-mail to say thank you for the half-term refresh course – and many thanks to Anne.  I think it was the right balance of difficulty for Camille, enough to challenge her but not too hard so she was confident at the end of the week.  The fact that the lessons were proposed online was really ideal.  Camille is my fourth and last child taking the test so I am glad it is over now!

Year 6 parent, Great Missenden (2020)

Sam enjoyed the course with Anne this week, a good way to keep him practising.

Year 6 parent, Farnham Common (2020)

Just thought you’d appreciate some genuinely nice feedback.  Look I have to be honest with you we haven’t got a lot of spare money at the moment but we didn’t want her not to have the same chance as our elder daughter has taken advantage of.  It is the case unbelievably that she sometimes thinks she can’t do things when in reality she could leave most around her standing. When I came home late one evening after her first afternoon I sat in my usual place gathering my thoughts and she leapt downstairs and said , ‘’Dad it was really good – thanks it was really worthwhile you spending all your pennies ‘’ & with that comment delivered she brightly stuck both her thumbs up in the air & disappeared back up to bed… the best homecoming I’ve had for a long while… So thank you very much – anything you can do to encourage her to believe in what she can do I will be forever grateful.

Year 6 parent, Henley (2020)

Thanks to you and the team and especially Sarah who’s been Will’s main teacher. We’ve been really impressed with the quality of the set up you have, the teaching and the overall tone. We are glad we moved him to a more structured learning environment. He has thrived and done very well in recent assessment and mocks. He’s anxious as you’d expect but has worked hard and couldn’t be better prepared, so what will be will be now!!

Year 6 parent, Little Kingshill (2020)

Could I take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for all their hard work. This year has been incredibly challenging. As a teacher myself, I understand completely how teaching has had to adapt. The zoom lessons, have been fantastic. I know nothing can replace face to face teaching, but your staff, especially Anne have been amazing. We have been very impressed with the way you effectively and efficiently dealt with lockdown and virtual teaching. Regardless of the results, I know Zak has learned so much and has developed in many ways. Thank you again and we wish you all the best.

Year 6 parent, Slough (2020)

We would like to thank you and the teachers for all your hard work. Teaching has been very challenging and we appreciate all your efforts.

Year 6 parent, Iver (2020)

Want to mention that Zaina and I really liked the zoom sessions with Anne. She was very good. Also wanted to say how well organised you are and your response to the recent covid issue was dealt with very efficiently.

Year 5 parent, Ickenham (2020)

Thank you for hosting the Mock exam on Saturday.  Hyder enjoyed the experience and was pleased with his scores.

Year 6 parent, Chartridge (2020)

So far so good Layla is enjoying the classes and has taken to Bethany already. The change in her confidence is noticeable already.

Year 5 parent, Chalfont St Peter (2020)

Your courses and teachers are helping Jamie immensely.  Thank you to you and to them.

Year 5 parent, Little Kingshill (2020)

Ruby has worked very hard over the past few months on her 11+, she managed her own 11+ learning around her school homework and was led by her motivation towards completing homework prior to her classes with Anne. I shared with her your expectation of 70%+ pass mark and I think she went for it! Please say a huge thanks to Anne from me as Ruby thoroughly enjoyed her summer course! Ruby also received an excellent end of year report from school, so we are mega proud of her! Also, the prizes really help! They seem to be the most important thing in Ruby’s life at the moment!

????

Many Thanks!

Year 4 parent, Ickenham (2020)

I’m glad Safa’s overall score is good.  Safa enjoyed the course and found this to be very useful. Safa continues to undertake her summer homework which is very helpful. She received her prize this week. Thank you. I would like to thank Anne for her help and support during Year 4.  Safa enjoyed being taught by Anne both in class and virtual settings.  During lockdown, the school’s online sessions did not even come close to the high standard of Anne’s classes. There was such a big difference with lessons starting promptly, lessons covering a variety of topics & games and one to one support going over  questions and homework.  It was definitely motivating and a positive learning experience.  Safa looks forward to her Year 5 tuition.

Year 4 parent, Slough (2020)

Rachael enjoyed the course and I am extremely happy with all of the tutoring she has received so far – both in the classroom and online.  Her results are very encouraging, we are very pleased.

Year 4 parent, Stoke Poges (2020)

Please pass on our thanks to Laura for tutoring Arjan before Lockdown and Sinead during lockdown.  Arjan enjoyed the face to face lessons at the time anyway, and made rapid progress.  But the virtual lessons in particular were very much appreciated.  We recognise that this was a new way of working for your staff as well, but Sinead was very calm and reassuring throughout the process, and we really value her support of Arjan during this time.  He was a little reticent about getting involved at first because Sinead and the other children were all new to him.  Thanks to Sinead’s efforts and insistence on involving everyone, he’s really grown in confidence and is now fully engaging with the lessons.

Year 5 parent, Langley (2020)

Thanks very much Marie for your excellent management of the situation this last term. Chloe’s school haven’t been great regarding home learning, and having her tuition work to continue with has provided much needed structure in her efforts to continue learning. While we’re very keen to get Chloe back into the classroom lessons, the zoom calls have been a well run and efficient substitute while this was impossible.

Year 4 parent, Beaconsfield (2020)

First of all I wanted to say a massive thank you for all your hard work especially during the COVID period to keep the tuition going for Sophie. She has made tremendous progress this year.

We would love to keep in touch as her brother is only two years away from Year 4 and we certainly are convinced it has been game changing for Sophie this year.

Year 4 parent, Beaconsfield (2020)

Like many parents we are also anxious but we just wanted to say thank you for all your reminders and  keeping the classes open until the actual test itself!

Year 5 parent, Beaconsfield (2020)

Ruby is very motivated towards her 11+ homework and looks forward to her classes with Anne every week!

Year 4 parent, Ickenham (2020)

Thank you again for everything. Zak is really enjoying his lessons and is much happier when completing his work. His confidence has improved.

Year 5 parent, Slough (2020)

We are really thankful for the brilliant work that you, teachers, do every day with so much love and dedication.

Year 5 parent, Denham (2020)

Just to say thank you from us for how seamless this has been! Hoping you’re keeping well. Sam was delighted with his football cards you sent him! a great motivator!

Year 4 parent, Uxbridge (2020)

I just wanted to drop you a note to say how impressed I am with both Sinead and Laura. They’re both such engaging teachers and Anaiya is really enjoying her sessions. This is coming from a girl who can quite often be reluctant to sit down and focus when it comes to academic studies.  Both Sinead and Laura are so good teaching online, I wish I could show my daughter’s school your methods of teaching online.

Year 5 parent, Staines (2020)

This is to let you know, that Agastya has enjoyed the virtual lessons and would like to continue with the same mode of learning.

Year 5 parent, Gerrards Cross (2020)

Just to say – she is finding the lessons fun and looking forward to them, great start.

Year 5 parent, Amersham (2020)

Thank you for all the information regarding my daughter’s progress. I’m very happy with her results. I have to mention that Evie has enjoyed the Easter course a lot and she would like to do a week or two in August as well.

Year 5 parent, High Wycombe (2020)

We appreciate your team’s efforts with the online lessons which still allow some level of interaction instead of just pre-recorded videos so thank you very much.

Year 5 parent, Iver (2020)

Marie, I think you are doing a wonderful job of continuing the tutoring in these times.

Year 5 parent, High Wycombe (2020)

Overall, her handling of the 10-11 books has improved substantially over the past two weeks so we are pleased with that. It has also highlighted that we need to work on vocabulary!

Year 5 parent, Beaconsfield (2020)

William enjoyed the Easter course and it was a welcome distraction and bit of routine in the holidays. I only overheard the odd bit but Will seemed happy and engaged so thank you.

Year 5 parent, Great Missenden (2020)

Safa is enjoying her lessons online and is positive about this. Thank you to you and Anne for your help and support.

Year 4 parent, Gerrards Cross (2020)

We were impressed with what your classes did for her last year in the summer term and in the summer school weeks (she scored 129 and is going to Chesham Grammar in September).

Year 6 parent, Amersham (2020)

We are pleased to learn of Joshua’s continued progress in his eleven plus studies. We know that he has enjoyed the new teaching format and being challenged. Please pass on our thanks to Sinead.  We know that it has been a difficult time in terms of having to change your delivery model at short notice but we appreciate you doing this.

Year 5 parent, Slough (2020)

We are grateful for the support given through the virtual lessons and also during the class lessons. We appreciate all the teachers who are working tirelessly to make sure our children don’t miss out.  Wishing you, your team and your families a happy and blessed Easter.

Year 4 parent, Langley (2020)

Thank you for the results. We wanted you to know that Zak is enjoying his online sessions with Anne.

Year 5 parent, Slough (2020)

Thanks for doing the zoom – I think it is working well.

Year 5 parent, High Wycombe (2020)

Thanks for all the communications – feels like everyone has adapted quickly and good to see the kids keeping busy and stimulated.   All’s well he seems to be really enjoying it so glad we made the move!

Year 5 parent, Great Missenden (2020)

You are doing a great job and I’m so glad we decided to send Monty to your classes.

Year 5 parent, Chalfont St Peter (2020)

Just to let you know that she is very happy to continue tuition online. She enjoyed her lesson today and it surprisingly worked really well with us all.  I have heard some online tuition has not quite worked out as planned so just wanted to thank you, Sinead and all the team making this possible and keeping with the general classroom routine as well as trying to entertain kids remotely! Please pass our thanks to Sinead also.  Was very impressed.  In the meantime, hope u and family stay safe and healthy

Year 5 parent, Chalfont St Peter (2020)

Initially, we thought it would be a complete nightmare for online tuition as we have a son who is younger, and we are both working from home indefinitely. However, I think the online tuition may actually bring some sort of structure for her over the coming weeks if schools are still closed after Easter. And how wonderful to hear how Sinead tutors the children. She makes it sound so easy explaining things!  Thank you for making this work. I am sure that all the parents also very much appreciate the continuity in this unforeseen crisis.

Year 5 parent, Chalfont St Peter (2020)

Thank for Ava’s year 5 virtual lesson last weekend. Much appreciated that you have pulled all this together so quickly!  Hope you get some rest over Easter!

Year 5 parent, Holmer Green (2020)

Trying to keep my daughter engaged so far has been a real challenge and these classes do help a lot.  Thanks again for everything.

Year 4 parent, Burnham (2020)

Martynas really loved his virtual lesson, he said that it was not too long and not too short and was really happy with the whole experience. He even said it was the best tuition lesson!

Year 5 parent, Denham (2020)

Hi Marie, Well done organising the online session.  It worked fine, thank you.

Year 5 parent, Little Chalfont (2020)

Thank you for today’s lesson with Bethany. Orla enjoyed it very much.

Year 5 parent, Northwood (2020)

Many thanks to you and Anne for today’s lesson – I hope it went ok from Anne’s point of view. Isabelle is happy enough!

Year 4 parent, Stoke Poges (2020)

We are aware that we have started tuition very late for 11+. Our main motive was not necessarily to get her to pass the exams next year, but more so to give her more confidence in her abilities, and to go to the next school with more knowledge and confidence. The last month of tuition has confirmed that it has been extremely valuable for her and it has made a huge difference in her school homework already – which she can now do in 5 minutes.

Year 5 parent, Chalfont St Peter (2020)

Wow a great improvement on his verbal reasoning and brilliant score on NVR thank you!

Year 4 parent, Stoke Poges (2020)

He was nervous in the run up but he really enjoyed it. He wants to go to tuition 5 days a week and school only 1 day per week!

Year 4 parent, Langley (2020)

  1. Simran did amazing and got a qualifying score for both Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.  Thanking Laura and Anne for the amazing work they are doing.

Year 6 parent, Slough (2019)

My son Kabir is doing very well preparing in his tuition with Sinead on Saturdays at Stoke Poges. Compared with alot of his friends who are going through the same programme, Marie Redmond tuition is made to be fun and the token system works very well to motivate the children. Kabir also looks forward to going to tuition.

Year 5 parent, Iver (2019)

Both of my children have enjoyed Marie Redmond tuition and both have passed comfortably the 11 + exam. Thank you so much for your help.

Year 6 parent, Chesham (2019)

Jai did really well: Berks – 122, Bucks – 139. We hope he will follow his sister Keerit to Langley Grammar School. Many thanks to Sinead, yourself and your team for all the help you gave him (and to Keerit last year). Despite only attending for about a term and a half, Sinead gave him plenty of guidance, tips and motivation to succeed. Although the 11+ journey has come to an end for us, I now make a point to mention Marie Redmond 11+ Tuition whenever I the topic comes up conversation!

Year 6 parent, Windsor (2019)

Sofia is enjoying Year 6 and looking forward to the PGL trip in May (highlight for year 6). Sofia passed the 11 plus, she is very pleased and we are very proud of her! We would like to thank you and Sarah for all your hard work.

Year 6 parent, Chesham (2019)

She passed the 11+ and is hoping to go to Dr Challoner’s High School.

Year 6 parent, Seer Green (2019)

He did very well in both the Bucks (140) and the Herts (237) Tests. Many thanks to you and your fantastic tutors for all the support and feedback. He attended your year 5 course, summer course and 2 mock tests and really improved over the last year. Things that were particularly helpful about your course: strong focus on vocabulary starting before the course had even begun, structured homework, rewarding them for their effort with the points and prizes system, regular testing so we could understand where our child’s weaknesses were and lots of question practice for technique. We look forward to seeing you again with our younger son.

Year 5 parent, Great Missenden (2018)

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for encouraging Simran to come out of her a shell. When she started with you in December she really dreaded tackling Maths in any form. She was ecstatic with her Maths score in the most recent assessment and the hard work from both sides clearly shows. She is enjoying it a lot more, feels more confident about it all because she is understanding it much more.

Year 4 parent, Langley (2018)

I would like to tell you that she has “loved” the Easter course, her word, and is very enthused by her time there. It’s a small point to an adult, but she really likes her new folder and she is very proud of it with the new books. Providing the stationery and laying out the tables neatly before the children arrived also had a very positive impact on her. Thank you!

Year 5 parent, Maidenhead (2018)

Year 5 parent, Penn (2017)

I am so pleased that we took the time to make the right and best choice in choosing you for his tutoring. It’s was a big decision for me as you know his school gives a great deal of daily homework and I needed to make sure most importantly he is in an environment where is happy and looks forward to coming to each week – I believe this will aid to his success. I am delighted that Anne has made this possible with her professionalism and engagement with him in his first lesson. I was overwhelmed that he came out smiling and happy in-fact he was quite eager to go home and finish all his homework -which also surprised my husband!

Year 4 parent, Slough (2017)

I just wanted to write a little email to thank Anne and yourself for Simran’s smooth transition into 11+ tutoring. Simran is quite shy when in new surroundings however she has come out of each lesson so far with a beaming smile and very relaxed. She is finding the lessons very enjoyable and has made good progress in a short time. She has always feared any work related to Maths, however is now starting to enjoy it and eager to learn more.

Year 4 parent, Langley (2017)

Lily passed with a score of 129 and has applied to attend Chesham Grammar School. Obviously we were and are delighted. Lily worked very hard during the last year to achieve a pass and I hope this has taught her a valuable lesson at a young age – that hard work normally pays dividends. Lily is very happy and we feel sure that she will thrive at Grammar School. I will be recommending Marie Redmond based upon our experiences. I would like to convey that I have found Sarah to be an excellent tutor. A good deal of Lily’s success is as a direct result of Sarah’s thoughtful and positive tuition. Thank you again for your support. Oscar is currently in Year 3 and we expect him to be attending Marie Redmond Tuition in 2019.

Year 5 parent, Amersham (2017)

I really appreciate getting data like this – it’s extremely useful and good to see that he is tracking well so far. He is actually really enjoying the lessons, more than I thought he would so the teacher is clearly doing a great job. The homework regime is also proving really helpful in terms of structuring the time I spend with him and understanding more directly where his strengths and weaknesses are.

Year 4 parent, Beaconsfield (2017)

He did well in both exams. For Berks he attained 118 and for Bucks the result was 130. We’re all extremely pleased with the outcome and have now made our selections for his grammar school for 2018. We would like to thank you and your staff for all the effort and patience shown to him. I don’t think he would have attained those marks without your tuition classes. Once again thank you.

Year 5 parent, Ickenham (2017)

I’m delighted to tell you that he passed the 11+. It was such a difficult year for him, catching up on schooling having moved from abroad, so it was an uphill struggle! As you can imagine, his passing was made all the sweeter for us and I can’t tell you how proud of him we are!

Year 5 parent, Gerrards Cross (2017)

We were so pleased with her efforts throughout and just wanted to say thank you because the tuition was really fun and she developed so much during the year of tuition! She learned to manage her workload and seems to be more of an active learner now whereas she has previously struggled with confidence and has been quite quiet at school, but she seems to have really come out of herself now! We know that she will do well wherever she goes and is more prepared for secondary school as a result of this last year with you so thank you!

Year 5 parent, Gerrards Cross (2017)

Year 5 parent, Slough (2017)

I just wanted to update you as we have now received her results. Thankfully she achieved the Slough eligibility score. This should stand her in good stead for securing a place at Upton Court Grammar School which is her first choice. I am incredibly proud of her achievement given the significant health issues she has had to deal with alongside preparation for the exams. However, I also owe you and your team, including Anne, Sinead and Laura, a huge debt of gratitude for all your support over the last two years. I have especially appreciated your support over recent months when I have sent you messages and you have always responded promptly and offered advice even though you have been out of the office/ busy yourself. I shall definitely be recommending your tuition centre to anybody who asks. She has always enjoyed attending classes and doing the homework and never saw it as a chore or burden which I was really pleased to see. She remained motivated throughout and always commented about how much she liked the teaching style which included lots of games rather than endless book based exercises. Thank you so much.

Year 5 parent, Slough (2017)

Year 5 parent, Denham (2017)

Bisma had a great first session last Saturday at Stoke Poges – this was a real positive as she was very nervous at the start. I would also like to add that correspondence from yourself and your colleagues was informative and timely. The homework resources were well organised and we were able to find and use everything with ease – I especially liked the use of the purple folder containing that weeks homework. The small incentives used to motivate the children also worked a treat! Early days but a happy start.

Year 4 parent, Langley (2017)

Thank you very much for marking and returning his mock test so quickly, and for the useful answer booklet you have emailed us. We will find it very helpful to go through the paper with him. I would like to say a big thank you for the course last week. As I mentioned when we booked, my son is a fairly shy boy and is not very confident with new people or in new situations. I was delighted to see him relaxed and happy after every session he did with Sarah, and he commented afterwards that it was fun as well as hard work. It is not an easy balance to achieve, so thank you for your thoughtful approach. It was a huge relief to see him being encouraged in such a friendly manner, as the last thing we wanted was to put undue pressure on him – that is why we chose your course, having had a good experience with our older son three years ago. The advice you have given us is very useful, and I would be grateful if you could pass this message on to Sarah as well, so she can see that we are grateful for her work with him.

Year 5 parent, Tylers Green (2017)

I am delighted with Daniel’s results and I know that he will be too! So that you know, when we had Daniel’s end of term parents evening and last Progress Test reports from school, we were told that Daniel had made ‘much higher than expected progress’ in Maths and English since last taking the tests in 2016. I do credit Daniel for this of course, but I also want to say that I firmly believe that your tuition has also helped him to achieve these levels. Please pass on my thanks to his tutor, and let’s hope that he keeps up the good work.

Year 4 parent, Beaconsfield (2017)

Just wanted to say thanks to the tutor and yourself for the help with Arya over the past year … we are extremely proud of her development. She has previously struggled at school and we were consistently told her age was the primary reason (youngest in year born on 31st August). However, she ended up in the top class for both Maths and English by the end of the school year and has received a very encouraging end of year school report. Please do pass our thanks onto her tutor.

Year 5 parent, Rickmansworth (2017)

Thank you for his assessment results. Drew and I are so pleased with his progress. His school teachers commented that he is like a different child in Maths lessons and is now choosing to attempt the more challenging questions. Thank you to you and Anne.

Year 4 parent, Chesham (2017)

As you know I have been very happy with the tutoring George has had this year.

Year 5 parent, Chalfont St Giles (2017)

Overall I am very happy with her progress. English is definitely her hardest subject and she can be very hit or miss in tests. However, her average continues to increase and she is always buzzing when she comes out from the lesson.

Year 4 parent, Chalfont St Peter (2017)

I wanted to say how impressed I am with the whole process. George is cracking on and I feel like we are on the right path. Many thanks

Year 5 parent, Gerrards Cross (2017)

Year 5 parent, Gerrards Cross (2016)

As Sara strode into the exam hall this morning, chatting to her friends, I stood at the gate thinking about everything that has led up to this D-Day. I just wanted to say thank you for the huge part you and your team have played in her preparation and developing her confidence. I hope to be sharing some good news with you next month – but in the mean time here’s some other good news… Sara was appointed head girl of Castleview School this week 🙂

Year 5 parent, Slough (2016)

Kaiya enjoyed her lesson and is looking forward to going again on Wednesday, which is good.

Year 4 parent, Beaconsfield (2016)

Ollie thoroughly enjoyed his week with the teacher and the other pupils. He said that the teacher was really nice and made him feel relaxed. He thought the other pupils were very nice. Although Ollie is not generally very keen on anything that requires him to put in some effort he was really keen to go along each day and felt his week went really well. Thank you for everything. I will definitely recommend your summer course to my friends.

Year 5 parent, High Wycombe (Summer 2016)

Once again really appreciate your help and look forward to staying in touch as we intend to use your services again in the future for our daughter Rhea who is currently aged 7.

Morgan is really taken with Catherine and feels she teaches things in a “really nice way”.

Year 5 parent, Slough (Summer 2016)

Cameron is very pleased with his results! Thank you for all your hard work with him and we shall see you in September.

Year 4 parent, Amersham (2016)

Your course has been invaluable in allowing her to work with her peers, realising that it is normal to find 11+ work challenging, restoring her confidence and realising that hard work and persistence will win the day. In Sara’s own words, “I enjoyed that they made the work fun so that it was interesting and you wouldn’t be tempted to doze off. I also thought my teacher, Anne, is a lovely lady. I learnt some new ways of doing things which will help me when it comes to the 11+ exams.”

Year 5 parent, Slough (Easter Course 2016)

Daniel really enjoyed the course this week which was lovely to hear. He came home enthusiastic after each session and felt he had learnt new things. Sinead made the classes interesting and fun.

Year 4 parent, Amersham (2016)

Harvey enjoyed the first lesson – very impressed and looking forward to tomorrow’s lesson.

Year 5 parent, Beaconsfield (2016)

Naveen really enjoyed her first lesson last week with Anne. Naveen was a little apprehensive going into class to begin with and did actually take me in with her! However, once I left and came to collect her she said she really enjoyed her session and liked Anne. I would also like to mention that Naveen came out of her first class beaming and once home said she loved having a tutor like Anne. And then decided she was very lucky to have a tutor. So a really big thank you from me.

Year 4 parent, Farnham Common (2016)

His maths has improved immensely since he has joined Sarah’s class. He still finds some aspects difficult but he is improving all the time and has moved up 2 tables in his class. It is obviously working for him which is great for his confidence. So many thanks all round.

Year 5 parent, Gerrards Cross (2016)

She is making good progress and Sarah is an excellent teacher who seems to bring out the best in the children. Lily is enjoying the lessons and hopefully that bodes well for the run in to the exam itself. She is also learning a huge amount, which regardless will be of benefit in the future.

Year 5 parent, Amersham (2016)

Please can you forward our comments to Anne, as our son thinks she is a very good tutor and enjoys her classes. He enjoyed the classes so much, that he invited his friends to join. His friends have now joined and attend the same class as him.

Year 5 parent, Farnham Common (2016)

He really enjoys going to Sinead’s class and seems to be making friends 🙂

Year 5 parent, Slough (2016)

Katie passed the 11+ (143) and is very happy to be going to Wycombe High School with her best friend (only 3/30 from her class passed so I think the extra work on Maths during the summer and the revision courses were worth the effort!). Hoping her fellow students did well too.

Year 5 parent, Hazlemere (2016)

She was pleased with her score of 145. Many thanks for the summer course which she found very engaging, fun and useful. She has a brother who will be taking the 11 plus in 2020 so will be in contact again nearer the time.

Year 4 parent, Beaconsfield (2016)

Sara passed both the Slough and the Bucks 11+ exams – she is now hoping to go to Langley Grammar School 🙂 I will be asking Sara to send you a message herself over the next few days. In the mean time I would like to offer my sincere thanks to you and your team. Your efforts instilled self confidence in Sara and gave her the fine tuning in her skills that she needed to pass the 11+. You managed to do this in a non-stressful environment where, through innovative and imaginative techniques, learning was actually made fun unlike so many other tutors I have heard about. I would whole-heartedly endorse you to other parents who may be considering tuition for their children. Thanks again, I hope your other children enjoyed the same success that Sara had.

Year 5 parent, Slough (2016)

She did really well and passed both the Bucks and Slough 11+ tests – so she is delighted. Many thanks to your tutors for all their help and pre-exam advice.

I am pleased to say James passed with a score of 135. We are delighted, especially considering he did very little preparation over the summer holidays as he broke his arm. Thanks to you and the teaching staff for helping him achieve this outcome. James enjoyed the lessons – it was never difficult to get him to attend.

Year 5 parent, Gerrards Cross (2016)

They both passed so very happy. Thanks to you and your staff.

Year 5 parent, Amersham (2016)

Igor got: 111 points. Thank you so much for preparing him.

Year 5 parent, West Drayton (2016)

We were keen for our son to have some preparation for the 11+ without it being too intense or pressured. We opted for a class structure with a social aspect that rather than intense 1:1 tuition. Our son enjoyed his classes throughout the year and the summer refresher work. Marie was always helpful by email as we had some questions along the way. A very positive experience as our son passed with 134 and his hard work paid off. Thank you Marie and Anne!

Year 5 parent, Chalfont St Giles (2016)

I am pleased to say she did very well. She scored 145. The mock exam at the end of your course made me realise how under prepared she was. I always knew she had it in her, she just needed to practice and familiarise herself with the format of the questions. All the best and thank you

Year 5 parent, Stoke Poges (2016)

Tom was very pleased with his 11+ result – he scored 140! Thanks for all the help and guidance that he received during his holiday course. Both Tom and I feel that the course gave him the final boost that he needed (in terms of confidence and knowledge) to do his best in the 11+

She also loved the small classes, teachers and learnt a lot generally. Thank you very much.

Year 5 parent, Princes Risborough (2014)

We (the queue of waiting parents on the stairs at 2pm) were all worried that our kids would hate us for making them work on a Saturday, but as far as Harry was concerned, he, and I quote, “loved it, it was great fun” .. he was bouncing around in the car on the way home. So smiles all round, thank you.
